In 2017-2019, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine conducted monitoring of the state of higher education institutions displaced after 2014. Since then, similar studies have not been conducted due to the pandemic and the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022. The new wave of displacements increased the number of these institutions almost threefold (list of analyzed displaced HEIs). Such a radical change in the network and conditions of its existence necessitated conducting monitoring in 2024-2025 of how the transformation of displaced Ukrainian HEIs’ activities is being carried out, how this network operates in new locations and contexts, and what prospects for further existence and development are opening up for its individual components.
The monitoring methodology can be found on the Research Methodology page.
